I just wanted to send you a few encouraging words today.
If you are struggling to start a new workout habit, or stick to your yoga routine, take heart.
You do not have to be perfect. You can miss days (or take weeks or months off) and still return to your practice.
Take a small step today to set yourself up for success.
Leave your yoga pants out, and put them on first thing in the morning.
Or go for a two-minute run. That's all. Start with two minutes.
Recently I'd had it on my to-do list for weeks to try a new gym in this area, and I kept procrastinating on it, telling myself I'd rather sleep in, or I'd rather go home and have dinner with my family and have a glass of wine.
Last night, I went for it. I took the class. I put my tennis shoes on and showed up, finally.
And it felt great!
But I remembered the struggle, and how long it took me to get to that place of willingness.
So if you're in that space, I just wanted to remind you... it's OK. You got this. Keep your chin up.
