To kick off the month of October, I wanted to share some favorite self-care practices I've been enjoying lately.

WOGA + ZEN AF

This hilarious #ZENAF shirt from Twin Flames Apparel is perfect for nights when I do w-oga.

Have you heard of it? Wine + yoga. Woga. It's a thing ;)

How does it work, you ask? Well, you pour yourself a glass of wine and enjoy it before you practice. Or, as you practice.

If you stay tuned on my Instagram feed for @aliveinthefireyoga, you'll see how some nights after work, I woga. I highly recommend giving it a try.

SELF CARE SUNDAY

Who said Sunday couldn't be a relaxing, fun day instead of filled with catch-up chores that you've been avoiding all week?

I don't know about you guys, but I definitely get the Sunday blues sometimes. So I started a new tradition: Sunday night baths!

Soaking in the tub is the perfect way to end my week, and start the next week with a sense of calm.

I start by lighting some candles and using some epsom salts. I recently discovered Brunch Candle Box. It's a subscription box where you can get beautiful hand-crafted candles each month. Use the code ALIVEINTHEFIRE at checkout and receive a free "Cocktail Box" or that much off any other purchase.. So if you decide you want to get a 6-month box, the discount will allow you to get 1 month free!

After my bath, I like to wear my Mahabis slipper shoes around the house... super comfy and supportive on my feet.

SELF MASSAGE

Sore muscles? Cramps from your cycle? Stomach hurting? Toooootally been there.

I've started a new practice of daily self-massage in the evenings before bed. Intuition is the key here -- use the power of intuitive touch to help heal your aches and pains.

My new favorite is Banja Balm from Khroma Herbs. I've been using it before bed, a little on my low back and on my belly when I do my self-massage and it is a life saver! It has soothing ingredients like arnica, shea butter and avocado oil. And I like that it has a minty smell from the peppermint and eucalyptus oils, which clears my sinuses and helps me breathe deeply before I drift off to sleep.

WEARING PRETTY NECKLACES

So, I'm not usually much of a jewelry person... but lately I've been wearing pretty necklaces and I love how they make me feel fancy ;) Adding a nice piece of jewelry gives my work outfits a little boost, and makes me feel beautiful as I walk out the door in the morning.

My favorites are this Flower of Life necklace from Ka Gold Jewelry, and the mala from the September Yogi Surprise box.

How are you celebrating fall? What fun rituals are helping you stay grounded during the shifting seasons? Sending all of you a big hug!
