Grounding Mantras

Sound is powerful. Words are powerful.

Using a mantra is a simple, effective, fast way to shift your energy.

Here are three incredibly potent mantras to help you feel grounded.

Take a moment to sit or lie down comfortably. Breathe deeply for a few minutes, noticing how your body feels. Begin a mantra. You can repeat this mantra aloud or silently to yourself. Start with 1 minute and work your way to 5 or even 10 minutes of repetition.

I am.

Bring yourself into the present moment with the simple mantra, “I am.”

If you want to cultivate a specific energy, add a word to place focus on what you are becoming in this moment.

I am strong.

I am peaceful.

I am present.

Om

Om is a powerful vibration of life force energy. Chanting this sound brings immense peace to your entire system— body, mind and spirit— and helps clear any stuck energy.

I surrender.

If you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or in pain, bringing in the mantra “I surrender” is a powerful way to shift your energy.
