Self-Care Practices to Feel Nourished

What helps you feel nourished?

How do you create wellbeing, peace and calm in your life?

Here are a few of my favorite routines that help me feel balanced.

  • Waking up early. Seeing the sunrise is deeply calming for me, and I love the early morning hours when it is quiet and peaceful out.

  • Morning movement. A gym workout, run, yoga practice or walk. Some days I work out at lunch or in the evening, but my favorite is to fit movement in first thing in the morning. It sets me up to feel energized all day.

  • Meditation.

  • Writing.

  • Drinking plenty of water.

  • Prioritizing sleep.

  • Regular visits to the chiropractor, float spa, and massage.

  • Getting outside for some sunshine.

  • Slowing down (even when I want to keep busy).

  • Salt baths.

  • Spending time alone.
