Self Care

Take gentle care of yourself.

You deserve it.

For me, lately this means:

Taking rest when I need rest.

Reminding myself that it's OK to say no to things I don't want to do.

Setting aside time on my calendar when I have no plans.

Taking epsom salt baths, lighting a candle, drinking wine, and having other evening routines that help me let go of any stress from the day.

Sitting in silence, alone, when I need time without any stimulation.

Seeing my chiropractor regularly. Seeing my acupuncturist, doctor, and therapist as needed.

Drinking 64 ounces of water each day.

Sleeping in on the weekends.

Hanging out with my dog.

And yoga, of course ;)

I try to be consistent when it comes to taking care of myself, and I'm not perfect. I feel proud of myself when I prioritize self care, and make it part of my routine.

It leaves me feeling better-- less stressed, more energized, and more loving and kind toward myself and others.

What does your self care routine look like these days?
