Seeking Renewal

Photo via Pinterest

You may have noticed the long silence here... apologies, readers, I'm taking a bit of a blogging break. I've fallen into what feels like an abyss, and I'm doing my best to climb back out.

One day at a time... sometimes only one step at a time.

Do any of you struggle with depression? Know any good yoga routines to help?

I'm open to your suggestions, and would love your encouragement at this time.

You can always email me at aliveinthefire at gmail dot com. A heartfelt namaste...

PS This also means that until I'm feeling like my usual positive self, teacher training is on hold. I have hopes that I'll recover, and when I do, I'll set the goal in my sights again... thanks for your support in the meantime!

  2. There are no words that can adequately describe the experience of being depressed. I understand what you are working through and I just want you to know that I am thinking of you and hugging you tightly.

  3. Through the comments in 'a blog about love' on 'how to stop comparing yourself to others' I read your entry and subsequently 'am I pretty enough' on your blog this morning.
Just wanted to let you know how thankful I was for your words of wisdom!!!

    Wishing you the energy again
    * to wanting to feel hope
    * to see the light within you
    * to smile at yourself in the mirror
    * to realise the 'knowing' that you are perfect the way you are

  5. Hi Rachel,

Life can be a challenge. I am sorry that you are having troubles and will keep you in my prayers. Know that you have friends (me and Tom) that care about you and are thinking about you.

I always find listening to music helpful when I am feeling sad and/or overwhelmed. I stumbled on this song the other day that I found beautiful.
I am sending the link and hope you like it.

  6. My hopes and positive thoughts are sent to you. Perhaps do any yoga, even a stretch up to the sky; one reach at a time, one breath at a time.

    Hugs,
    Judy
