I'm also in the middle of a detox: no alcohol, extra hydration, green clay, green juice when I can, and all natural, non-GMO foods whenever possible.
I recommend consuming natural ingredients, avoiding boxed foods as much as possible, and cooking simply. When I can, I steam veggies instead of frying them. I'm moving toward vegetarianism (and welcome your advice in the comments below on how to go "cold turkey" on meats!).

I also allow myself to indulge now and then, so that I don't feel starved. (Like the bagel and cream cheese and coffee with almond milk I'm having this morning for breakfast. Yum.)

Food is a joyful endeavor of life; it's meant to be enjoyed. Keep this in mind as part of your path toward enlightenment!

I am going vegan...today. It's a little intimidating, but I feel better about The decision not to eat other animals, especially given how the overwhelming majority are treated. And the increased health benefits. I'm trying to stay focused on those two things.
